À Propos / About
In this workshop, we are going to introduce you to the Vinyasa Krama Yoga method as it was described by T. Krishnamacharya (Theory and practice).
In Vinyasa Krama Yoga there are 12 sequences. They have beautifully flowing variations and movements resulting from a main posture. There are dozens and dozens of variations within each sequence. They are taught in a specific order. You are able to access different parts of the body, which you will not, if you perform a fixed number of movements, a fixed number of asanas. There are so many different moves that you are likely to reach and exercise all parts of the body.
Each posture involves has a counter-action or sequence of counter-movements that helps preserve the effects of the main asanas and counteract any undesirable aspects, to have proper straightening of the nerves on all sides. This results in a circulatory flow through the energy lines throughout the body.
It is an intelligent and very complete method that does not stop at simple asanas. It can and should adapt to individual requirements, which is an art in itself. We need to understand that there is no one standard practice that works for everyone.
We look forward to introducing you to this beautiful tool that purifies the heart, body and spirit, illuminating its own divine nature.
This workshop is for those who wish to learn this method. Beginners welcome.
